1991 Vehicle Collection Variations
There are many variations in 1991 collections, mostly due to collections being found packaged in the wrong
blisterpacks. So far I have personally come across only a couple of variations. They are:
Soviet Armour Collection - The standard collection has a simple white/grey camo livery with red stars.
The variation collection has the same set but in a brighter livery with red windows and blue and yellow
features. This is actually the 1992 Soviet Armour set from the Armed Forces range, but packaged incorrectly.
Classy Chromers Collection #3 - This variation is most likely just a one-off error. Here a Classy Chromers
collection #3 has been packaged incorrectly in a Spanish Adventures blisterpack.
Famous Planes Collection #1 - This variation may not be as simple as it first seems. This is the Sky Legends
collection from 1991, all in 1991 blisterpacks. The second image (right) has a bonus vehicle instead of
license plate in the style of early 1992 sets. The 3rd set is the most interesting, on further investigation,
it seems that this may actually be a pre-production collection for 1992 (bottom left).
1992 catalogues show this collection in this livery, but it was never released into full production.
Also the style of having a bonus vehicle (instead of license plate) is consistent with other early 1992 sets.
